Ongoing operations are easy to miss (again)
This has already been discussed in https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=753728 to a great extend. However, I just stumbled across it and would like to stress the need of finding a better solution:
To be honest, I do not think that this [the current solution] is enough (if this has been tried to be resolved by the "popping" animation along the "ongoing operations" icon). I am on GNOME 3.28.2 and it took me some time until I realized where the state of extracting / copying things was going. Until I realized, I was firing off extract operations multiple times. Thinking that my parents will use the new GNOME some time as soon as it arrives in EL is a nightmare. I think that the "Ongoing Operations" dialogue should be expanded as soon as a relevant operation is ongoing. This would be much more clear + usable. It would be nice if there was a better solution.
