Issue created Jul 06, 2018 by Strangiato@glaubersm

folder disappears when deletion fails because permission issues and reappears when files/folders view is reloaded

Watch the screencast recorded on Arch Linux running nautilus 3.28.1-784b3eaa please. "coredump" folder deletion fails because permission issues, when I click "skip all" button "coredump" folder disappears and reppears when I reload nautilus. Click "skip" or "cancel" buttons produces the same result.

Screencast_from_07-06-2018_06_09_53_PM

EDIT:

Steps to reproduce

  1. sudo mkdir ~/testfolder
  2. sudo touch ~/testfolder/testfile
  3. Open the home folder in nautilus
  4. Delete "testfolder". (Confirm permanent deletion.)
  5. An error dialog shows up. Dismiss it (either action will do).

Reproducible in:

  • 3.28 stable
  • Flatpak unstable

Current behavior

"testfolder" disappears from view, even though it was not deleted. Reloading the view reveals it is still there.

Expected behavior

"testfolder" does not disappear if it was not deleted.
