Leave some "blank" area in file pane to interact with mouse right-click (detail view)
Leave some "unused"/"white"/"blank" area in file pane to interact with mouse right-click. This request applies to detail view.
Normally, when copy/pasting some file in a folder with a few files, one can find some part of the destination folder window not covered by files descriptions. There, one can click the right mouse button and straightforwardly paste the files. This is not the case when the folder (and hence the window) has many files, since there is not "white"/"blank" area where to right-click in order to paste the files (or do other task from the mouse right-click menu). If one right-click over an existing file the context menu changes accordingly and the paste function is no more available. Please see also attached image for the situation I'm referring to.
The desired behavior comes from Windows Explorer: there's always some blank area in the window (either on the right part, or in a narrow horizontal strip just beneath the columns names) where one can right-click and obtain the desired behavior.
Benefits of the solution
Speed up interaction using mouse right-click
None (well... possibly slightly reduce view area for files, but it shouldn't be a big issue)
Sorry if this's a duplicate request or if I misunderstand nautilus interaction best practices. Thanks Giulio
