Nautilus global search field and gnome-shell search field only find files in recents and in the home folder
Affected Version
- Version: 46.1
- Distribution: fedora 40
- Also happens with development version: Yes
Steps to reproduce
- search a word in global search field
- only files matching the search and located in the home or recents directories are displayed, not those in other directories
- The tracker3 search -fs command does show me the files matching the search in all locations, /home, recents and outside them (filenames and file contents).
- The gnome-shell search field only finds files in recents and in the home folder.
Expected Behavior
the files corresponding to the search and displayed with the tracker3 search -fs command are displayed by files in the search results window.
Actual Behavior
only files in recent and /home/user are displayed
Additional Information
I have links pointing to another location for the Document, Picture, Music and Video directories. But searching in folders directly in Home doesn't work either.
