Navigating to another location before search results start appearing transfers search query to the new location
Affected version
- Nightly flatpak: Yes (44.beta.1-c59065ce)
- Other: 43.0, Ubuntu 22.10
Steps to reproduce
- Hover over one of the items on the sidebar, or hover over a folder in the view in single click open mode, or select a folder on double click mode.
- Type several keys rapidly to not let the search results start appearing.
- Click one of the items in the sidebar, a folder in the single click open mode, or press enter on the selected folder in two click mode before the search starts.
Current behavior
Search occurs in the location opened.
Expected behavior
Search query is cleared and location is opened normally for single/double click open. Search is executed in same folder instead when pressing enter?
Additional information
This still happens even if you open and select the search bar before executing the steps, assuming it's empty. You need to have very small delay (150ms) between last key press and triggering location change action for it to work prior to 43.1. Should probably be classified as papercut since I doubt many will accidentally trigger this bug.
