In NautilusDevel nightly flatpak version, OpenDocument mimetypes (.ods, .odt, .odp, etc.) cannot be opened with LibreOffice by Nautilus
Affected version
- Nightly flatpak: Yes
Steps to reproduce
- Have LibreOffice (any version) installed system-wide (in my case, as RPMs from Fedora 37's official default repositories), and NautilusDevel installed via flatpak
- Try to open any office format that LibreOffice supports, such as OpenDocument files (.ods, .odt, .odp) or MS Office files (ex.: .docx)
Current behavior
Nautilus tries to open the file with... itself (a new NautilusDevel window appears). As also indicated by what you see as the default open action app at the top of the contextual menu:
Expected behavior
Open the files with LibreOffice
Additional information
Only (Libre)office-related mimetypes seem to be affected. Other files (plaintext, audio, video, images, etc.) create a portal dialog and then the appropriate app is able to open them without problems.
The properties dialog seems to indicate that it does recognize the mimetype correctly:
