Folder/filer view is slow to load
Affected version
- Nightly flatpak: Yes
- Other: Archlinux, 43.0
Steps to reproduce
- My home folder contains about 180 non-hidden items
- Open nautilus, which opens the home folder
- Or navigate back from somewhere else
Current behavior
Loading the home folder view takes almost 1s. It's hard to measure, maybe it's only 500ms, or 700 or something. But what I'm getting at is that there's noticable delay of the nautilus window opening and the folders being displayed. For a folder with relatively few contents, this shouldn't really be the case.
Some random subfolders with less content load faster. Not quite instant but good enough. I haven't tested any really big folders.
Expected behavior
All folders load without noticable delay.
Additional information
I'm somewhat sure this wasn't the case before the 43.0 update, but I have no easy way of verifying this now. If I can still install the older version side-by-side, I'd be happy to test this again.
