Date format is relative, therefore inconsistent
Nautilus displays the date and time in a relative format, e.g. using "Yesterday", or adding the year only if the file is old.
See attached screenshot for an example.
(Nautilus version 3.36.3-stable running on Ubuntu 20.04)
This is probably fine for the "average" user who only rarely looks at the dates and times, but for someone who often uses them, it makes it extremely hard to read and compare dates and times.
The column "Modified — Time" needs to have an option to choose the date format, especially in the international format YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS, so that every file displays its time stamp consistently.
This might be related to issue #1702 (closed) but it's not the same thing.
Thank you
