No easy way to clear selection in single-click to open mode
Affected version
- Nightly flatpak: Yes
- Other: nautilus-3.36.1-1.fc32.x86_64
Steps to reproduce
- Enable
Single Click to open item
underPreferences > Behavior
- Select a file in single-click mode (by ctrl-clicking on a file).
Current behavior
If I want to select a different file, for example if I copied one file from a folder but now I want to copy another file, the only way I could find to achieve that is to ctrl-click the original file (which requires potentially hunting it down in a long list of files) to deselect it, and then ctrl-click on the other file that I want to copy.
Expected behavior
Some way to "select just this file and clear any other selection" for single-click to open mode, basically what single clicking does in the double-click to open mode.
Additional information
I mainly use the list view rather than the non-list view so I can't use rubber-band selection.
