Filename truncated when compressing folder with a dot
Similar to https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=696451, when selecting a folder with a dot in the name ("project 1.6") and right-clicking -> Compress..., the dialog will propose the truncated folder name as new name for the archive ("project 1").
As a consequence this causes user errors when the user oversees and forgets to correct the archive name and later the archive cannot be found under the expected name.
Since folders have no file format, they also have no file extensions, thus there is no need to detect an extension and leave it away.
