Context menu in default (list with columns) view cannot be accessed when scroll bar is present.
Steps to reproduce
- Start nautalus
- Navigate to a folder with sufficient files to require the scroll bar to be enabled
- Attempt to right click on some blank space to get the context menu of the current folder.
- There is apparently no space available to right-click to get the context menu.
Reproducible in:
- Flatpak unstable: unknown
- Other: all versions of nautalus I have tried including the one in F30
Current behavior
Current folder context menu is unavailable with a single right click.
Expected behavior
Folder context menu should be available with a single right click, somehow.
Additional information
A general write is is:
Nautilus starts in a default view showing files in rows with detail columns (name, size, modified).
I use right-click to access a context menu. I typically use a context menu in a folder to create a new folder in the current folder or paste a file into the current folder.
If there are sufficient files (rows) in the folder that there is no white-space left in the bottom of the window, it is impossible to access the folder context menu. One work-around is to switch to icon mode.
