Keep nested folders in path bar on upwards navigation (old address bar behaviour)
Use cases
In the old version of Nautilus (default GNOME for Ubuntu 18.10), the address bar saved a trail to the recently visited directories when we went up the directory. For example if we went from /parentA/parentB/currentDir to /parentA, we would have the option to visit any of the directories in the chain /parentA/parentB/currentDir with one click. It was almost similar to pushd and popd functionality. Copying or moving files from a child directory to its parents and vice versa was extremely easy.
Desired behavior
Unfortunately, the latest version of Nautilus (OS: Ubuntu 19.04, DE: GNOME 3.32.0) gets rid of that feature, along with changing the address bar alignment to middle. Both of those changes are probably a step in the wrong direction. At least, an option to turn that feature on would be really helpful.
Benefits of the solution
As mentioned previously, it really helps the user go up or down a branch of directories easily.
Possible drawbacks
Probably none.
