Wallpaper background texture turns white at 200% zoom
Hello
For about a year, following various Linux distributions, including Debian, Ubuntu, openSUSE and Fedora, I've been experiencing a peculiar issue. The issue is that in both X11 and Wayland, when using 200% scaling, as selected in GNOME settings for the display, the wallpaper renders as a white background.
I can toggle between the low and high dpi mode as presented in GNOME settings, and see or not see the background correctly. This is happening equally in Wayland and X11 sessions. This happens both on Intel graphics and on AMD graphics. This happens on both my iMac and MacBook using VMware fusion 11.5.0 (although it happened on earlier versions as well).
This doesn't happen on older versions of GNOME. I could do some debugging to figure out which version of Fedora or Ubuntu is the first affected.
This bug seems very close so perhaps this is a duplicate gnome-shell#1175
I'm happy to provide additional debugging information upon request.
