Keymap switching in gnome-kiosk (anaconda) does not work with mutter 46-rc
With https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2024-76d0460b09 - and I suspect mutter is to blame - keyboard layout switching does not work in anaconda, the Fedora installer, which runs on gnome-kiosk (on dedicated installer images, not live images). anaconda displays an input indicator which should work as a layout switcher if you click on it, and also you should be able to switch with alt-shift. This works fine with installer images built with GNOME 46 Beta; it does not work in current Rawhide or on an image built with that Fedora 40 update.
I found gnome-kiosk@01f42cdd and did a test run with gnome-kiosk 46-rc as well to see if that fixes it, but no. Still doesn't work.
The easiest way to test this is to install in Russian, which automatically configures two layouts, us and ru . Once you select Russian and proceed to the main installer screen, pressing alt-shift or clicking the layout indicator should switch between us and ru layouts.
