Screen is skewed/distorted in Wayland sessions using Matrox G200eW3
Installing Ubuntu 18.04 Server and installing ubuntu-desktop gives me a login screen as shown in the screenshot. Once I login (without proper visibility) everything works fine. Logout again to see the distorted screen.
-
Set "WaylandEnable=false" - Login page appears fine.
-
nomodeset boot param with "WaylandEnable=false" commented out - login page appears fine.
-
After the issue, If I go to shell (Ctrl+Alt+F2) and then try #startx the new GUI comes fine now. But logging out hits it again.
Xorg with the modesetting driver works fine, so it looks like a mutter bug
