Certain keyboard shortcuts are being ignored
Affected version
I'm running Gnome on Manjaro with Wayland, Gnome v. 45.2. I cannot tell with 100% certaintly but I am pretty sure this did not happen last week, i.e. my latest mutter upgrade was on 12.12. (45.1-1 -> 45.2-1).
Bug summary
I use the shortcuts "Super + Shift + 1,2,3..." for moving windows to a new workspace. Since "a few days" I noticed that my gnome terminal (later noticed also gedit, in the gnome matrix room "@aquarichy" was able to reproduce it with firefox - I could not don't work with the shortcut "Super+Shift+3", it results in a "§" (german layout) printed into the terminal or gedit resp.
Weirdly, this does not happen with super+shift+2 (Shift+2->") or 4 (shift+4->$). @skeller suggested this could be related to commit bc04fcb8 but I cannot tell.
Steps to reproduce
- Switch to german keyboard layout (does not seem to happen with english layout!!)
- Set shortcuts like me, mainly for "3"
- Move windows around workspaces, mainly to workspace 3…
What happened
I do not know for certain this is a mutter bug but it was suggested to me. In any case, the window was not moved to workspace 3.
What did you expect to happen
Move window to workspace 3.
