Jul 06 09:48:45 AnonymizedMachineName org.gnome.Shell.desktop[1133]: Window manager warning: Failed to parse saved session file: Datei »/var/lib/gdm3/.config/mutter/sessions/102aec73eb3e992579168862972331558100000010770000.ms« konnte nicht geöffnet werden: Datei oder Verzeichnis nicht gefunden
According to the log, gnome-shell tries to read a prior session file and fails to do so. The directory /var/lib/gdm3/.config/mutter does not exist. Several cases are possible:
- either this failure message is invalid and something else happens instead (in which case the message is misleading and something else or nothing should be printed), or
- the failure message is valid and the file should be both created and read, e.g., if there is something to save, such as the state of NumLock, (in which case the inability to create the session file is a bug), or
- the failure message is valid and the file should neither be created nor tried to be opened, e.g., if there is nothing to save, (in which case the attempt to create and read the session file is a bug), or
- the message is valid and the file may (but needn't be) created and the inability to find it is not a failure but regular behavior (in which case the absence of the file should not constitute a failure and hence not be prominently complained about in the log).
In any case, a repair is needed.
