Drag&Drop not working in Qt-Applications
Affected version
Provide at least the following information:
- Fedora 38 Beta, Gnome 44 RC5
- Mutter 44 RC5
- Wayland (issue also present in Gnome X11)
Bug summary
Since updating to Fedora 38 Beta Drag&Drop doesn't work anymore within Qt applications (in my case Substance 3D Painter 2023 (Steam version) and Krita)
Dragging something from e.g. Nautilus into the software, however, works.
The dragging part within the software also somewhat works, but you can't drop the element and the cursor remains a "forbidden sign" wherever you drag the element.
Steps to reproduce
- Install and open a Qt Application (e.g. Krita)
- Create a couple of layers and try to Drag&Drop one to change layer order
What happened
I'm not entirely sure if this is an issue of mutter, but I wouldn't know any better where to report this issue.
This is definitely a Gnome issue, though, since the issue is not present on other DEs (tested with sway, where Drag&Drop works as expected)
What did you expect to happen
Drag&Drop within Qt applications worked fine in Fedora 37/Gnome 43
