- GNOME 42.2
- Wayland
Bug summary
GNOME fails to get the input events from graphic tablet's pen. I noticed that the pen would work at the start, then it stops working after some 5-10 seconds. I need to log out and login again to make the pen work permanently.
However, when I reboot the system, I need to log out and login again. Otherwise, I can't use the pen. This issue occur every time the system is reboot.
Steps to reproduce
- Connect a graphic tablet.
- Open the terminal and run
sudo libinput debug-events
to inspect the input events. - Draw something for a short time.
- The pen's input will stop working.
What happened
The graphic tablet's pen stop working.
What did you expect to happen
The graphic tablet's pen should work like before.
Relevant logs, screenshots, screencasts etc.
As you can see, the input events are there, but GNOME won't detect any of the input from graphic tablet's pen at all.
I need to log out and re-login every time I reboot the system. Otherwise, the pen will not work under Wayland session.
