Pressing Super key does not trigger switch to overview screen
Affected version
Gentoo running GNOME 40.4
Happens on both Xorg and Wayland
System:
- Ryzen 7 3700X
- AMD Radeon RX5600XT
Bug summary
When i press Super key (Windows key on keyboard) the overview should show up. But this does not happen. I did test with other keyboard where it works just fine. I did confirm that the Windows key is actually mapped to Super key and that holding super and pressing arrows does maximize window and snaps it to sides so GNOME does register the key actually. Weirdly enough sometimes pressing the button quickly does rarely trigger the overview screen.
The keyboard that i found this bug with is SPC GK630K with Kailh Red switches. IDK if this could have something with the bug but i have the pooling rate set to 1000Hz and N-key rollover enabled. I also did try mapping Super to left Alt and it still has the same bug.
Other then this one bug the keyboard works flawesly.
I also tried disabling all the enabled GNOME extensions which are:
- KStatusNotifierItem
- Blur my Shell
- Coverflow Alt-Tab
- cpufreq
- OpenWeather
- System-Monitor
- User Themes
Didnt know if i should report this to Mutter or Gnome-shell. So if its Mutter issue please switch it :)
