Bug summary
This bug was found with gnome-initial-setup
, that in GNOME Xorg, its window shadow glitches when changing the display scale. This bug cannot be reproduced under Wayland.
Further experiments found that the window shadow glitch only appears when the titlebar widget is attached to the window.

Steps to reproduce
- Login into GNOME Xorg
- Set display scale to 100%
- Open either gnome-initial-setup or the stripped example provided in this report.
- Change display scale from 100% to 200%
What happened
Window shadow is glitched on the top-left side of the window border, but changing the window size makes the glitch disappear.
What did you expect to happen
Window shadow should not be glitched.
