[Gnome 40] [Wayland] gnome shell crashes when chromium tab is detached from window and then moved to a secondary screen
Affected version
- Fedora Linux 34
- GNOME Shell 40.0
- Wayland
- Chromium version 90 Flatpak
Bug summary
Detaching a chromium tab so that a new (full-screen) chromium window is created, and then moving that window to a secondary screen causes gnome shell to crash.
Steps to reproduce
- Open chromium
- Maximize window (super-upArrow)
- Open a new tab
- Move that tab to a new window
- Move that window to a secondary screen using (shift-super-leftArrow)
What happened
The window moves to the second screen, but then both screens freeze for a second, then my screens go black for a second, then I get thrown to the login screen
What did you expect to happen
Window moves the the new screen without gnome crashing

Note: This crash also sometimes happens when moving maximized windows from other applications between screens, or chromium windows without detaching a tab first. But with the above steps I can reproduce it every time.
Note2: Not sure if relevant, but the crash does not occur if I am screensharing the secondary screen. So I'm not able to recreate it while recording. As soon as i stop screensharing I can recreate it.
