Question regarding xrandr setmonitor support
Hey there, I landed here redirected from GNOME rocket chat gtk channel (https://chat.gnome.org/channel/gtk?msg=f4hYnR5sdMzf4shJe). What I want to achieve is basically make gnome detect the xrandr "none" monitor types so I can split a very large screen in multiple sub-monitors for working purposes.
This currently works in i3 but when trying to help a friend with gnome to achieve the same behavior, we found (gtk#2013 (closed)) which ultimately led us here.
I guess the question now is: Does it make sense to support this use case here? If not, which part of the code I should be looking into in order to support this at least from a personal fork?
