Mouse Cursor Not Centered When In Dual-Monitor Configuration when GNOME Magnifier is Enabled/Rendering Bug
OS and system information
Arch Linux rolling GNOME 3.36 Mutter 3.36.4 I'm only using Xorg
Information
Here's the following signal chain I use for my setup:
- Computer (Display 1) -> Denon AVR-X3400H -> Samsung 27" 4K monitor (HDMI)
- Computer (Display 2) -> Samsung 27" 4K monitor (DisplayPort)
My monitor is set to DisplayPort at 3840x2160@60Hz. My computer has an AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT.
The following configuration is as follows:
- Display 1: 1920x1080@60Hz located at top-left of display 2.
- Display 2: 3840x2160@60Hz as primary display.
Here's the video detailing the problem. https://lbry.tv/@GraysonPeddie:6/gnomemag_bug1:b?r=4KJn1iGdMyg7LKGFxDSh16U2hTCGRWup
To enable GNOME Magnifier, do Super+Alt+8.
Note that I have nothing except wallpaper for display 1. As you can see in the video, the mouse pointer does not move to Display 1 as intended. Because of that, I want to have magnifier focus in the main screen, which is Display 2.
And the reason why I have the configuration setup is because I have an issue with sound through HDMI dropping out, but because my issue with HDMI audio is beyond the scope of my current issue, I will leave a link here for those who are interested. In short, I think my receiver drops the audio randomly when the resolution is set to 3840x2160@60Hz, but again, it's beyond the scope. https://www.dslreports.com/forum/r32818234-Radeon-RX-5600-XT-HDMI-Sound-Muted-Until-I-Turn-My-Monitor-Off-On
