VT character causes incorrect difference highlighting
If text files contain the vertical tabulation (VT) character (Unicode U+000B), meld's difference highlighting is incorrect.
Please compare the two attached files ("a" and "b").
Line 1 of each file is identical, consisting of a single VT character.
Line 2 is different.
Line 3 is the same.
Meld incorrectly highlights the third line as different instead of the second.
This problem was discovered as I am developing a C++ program that must apply specific processing to all Unicode characters. It therefore includes the VT character within its source code.
It might be useful to point out that this problem does not exist in "diffuse". I mention this merely to point out that it is possible to handle the VT character correctly.
