MELD window dialog to open file don't let user to access remote files thru kio-fuse protocols

Meld: 3.18 (from OpenSUSE official repositories) Operating System: openSUSE Leap 15.2 64bits KDE Plasma Version: 5.20.2 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.75.0 Qt Version: 5.15.1 Kernel Version: 5.3.18-lp152.47-default

Issue description: The window that MELD show to open a file is not like any other "open file" window dialog. MELD don't let user to use paths outside local drives. If I need to access files on remote drives (using samba, ftp or ssh) and I have not that path as "favorite", I always can type that path using keyboard (like ftp://192.168.1.2/path or smb://192.168.1.2/path or fish://..... ). MELD however not only doesn't show my "favorites" bookmark (Dolphin managed) but even don't let me to type manually any path (as typically I can do in any Plasma open file dialog window).

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Open MELD
  2. Click "Compare files" button
  3. Click on "None" (the "Folder" icon below previous clicked button.

What is expected: User should be able to

  • Select a "Favorite" path
  • To enter manually any path (local or remote)

Reproducible: Always

Examples: Open file dialog in Kdiff (or LibreOffice). User can select any "Favorite" path or type it manually:

Open file dialog in MELD image

Open file dialog in Kdiff or LibreOffice image
