File comparisons from version control should maintain file extension for MIME detection

Hi,

when using Meld 3.20.2 as diff tool for git ("meld ." command) file type for repository window is sometimes detected wrong.

In this specific case, adding line 6 makes meld detect XML instead of C++. Difference between files is shown correctly, however.

Any suggestions?
