.editorconfig specifies tabs as 8 spaces

Mike Dalessio requested to merge flavorjones/libxml2:flavorjones-better-editorconfig into master

8 spaces appears to be the intended visual convention based on inspection of many of the C files in the codebase, and where I would expect adjacent lines to align.
