Preferable not to task group "indistinguishable" items

Task grouping is a really great feature, but its usability is (imo) limited because it groups tasks with identical names. I think the feature should be applied selectively. When applications have the same title users distinguish them on the tasklist spatially. Task grouping makes this far more difficult.
Case where task grouping is preferred:
Every copy of Netscape or AbiWord has a title that reflects the current document you are editing. Because every window has a different title, it is easy to tell what is what even with grouping.
Case where task grouping is undesirable:
Most of my GNOME Terminals have the same title ("Terminal"). I remember which terminal is which based on its position in the task list. When Terminals are put together into a single group, I now have trouble remembering which terminal is logged into my machine at work, which is doing an apt-get, etc.
Do not place items with exactly the same title in the same task group, compare titles before placing them there.
