Master branch protected and disallows push, breaks l10n.gnome.org

While translating hitori on l10n.gnome.org , the following error message pops up when trying to commit the translation:

“[Errno 1] Command: "['git', 'push', 'origin', 'master']", Error: Warning: Permanently added 'gitlab.gnome.org,172.31.2.39' (ECDSA) to the list of known hosts. remote: GitLab: You are not allowed to create protected branches on this project. To gitlab.gnome.org:GNOME/hitori.git ! [remote rejected] master -> master (pre-receive hook declined) error: failed to push some refs to 'gitlab.gnome.org:GNOME/hitori.git' ”

Probably the current GNOME/hitori project was not properly configured to accept translation from l10n.gnome.org. Please take a look at it so that translators can continue to work on hitori translation.
