gvfs-dav fills entire memory
Hi,
I am mounting a WebDAV directory with Nautilus. When I try to backup my system to the remote dir with borg backup, the memory of my machine fills up completely, even swap. Luckily this happens slowly enough that I can kill the gvfsd-dav process in time to prevent my system from freezing. Nevertheless, it is not possible to write large amounts of data to a remote directory, which is something a file system clearly should be able to do.
I am using the latest Fedora 33 software (fully updated GNOME 3.38.2).
I am a programmer (computational scientist), so perhaps I can help fixing the bug, though my time is quite limited. I have never programmed something for the GNOME project before. Do you have some pointers where to start?
