FTP feature is broken when attempting to connect to a VSFTPD server
I tried to connect to a FTP server running VSFTP on Ubuntu Server. Nautilus just throws twice the authentication box and then quits with "Unexpected end of stream".
The nightly does not run on my computer:
error: The application org.gnome.NautilusDevel/x86_64/master requires the runtime org.gnome.Platform/x86_64/master which was not found
Affected version
- Nightly flatpak: Can't test it because of some weird error
- Other: 3.36.3-stable, distribution is Pop!_OS 20.04 derived from Ubuntu 20.04
Steps to reproduce
- Go to "+ Other Locations"
- Type "ftp://domain name of vsftpd server"
- Enter credentials then type ENTER
- Enter credentials again then type ENTER again
- Enjoy "Unexpected end of stream"
Current behavior
"Unexpected end of stream"
Expected behavior
No errors and not twice the same credentials box, and finally the directory listing on the remote server.
Additional information
No idea how to get log output from nautilus
