Nautilus remote file davs:// problem with opening in LibreOffice
HEllo,
@antoniof send me here to report possible bug.
Here it is :
Prerequisites
- OS : Ubuntu 19.04
- Nautilus : 1:3.32.1-0ubuntu0.19.04.0 Source : ubuntu-disco-updates-main
- libreoffice-writer 1:6.2.5-0ubuntu0.19.04.1 amd64
Expected Behaviour
Goal : open and edit a file hosted on a dav remote server by Libreoffice by double clicking on the file in the Nautiluse automonted folder created with GUI davs:// adress.
This works well with server mounted with davfs command line in /etc/fstab but with the davs:// it's not.
Seems that the user should have the same experience with the two methods.
Actual behaviour
LibreOffice crashes a lot when working on the files.
Steps to reproduce :
- Open nautilus
- Search a file on remote dav (automatic connection via GUI)
- double clic on the file
- LibreOffice opens the file
- LibreOffice allows modifying
- LibreOFfice allows saving once
- After few minutes - pointer transformed to busy sign
- LibreOffice freeze
- Dialog box : continue or quit
- Never come back to life, even force quit doesn't work
- Process stuck until sooffice is killed
Context
-Seems to be linked to a certain time without saving
- Doesn't happen all the time
- Doesn't happen when working on file from the same drive but mounted via fdavfs in fstab
Logs
Log done with the reproduced pb (occured when opening a second time the file).
