Remove workaround for directory / folder icons
[I am happy to move this to Bugzilla, if that's what you prefer. :)]
See glib#1073 (closed) for context.
g_content_type_get_icon ("inode/directory") used to return a
. GThemedIcon inode-directory inode-x-generic. Even though some themes do have icons for
inode-directory-symbolic, none seem to have
inode-x-generic. Therefore, this wouldn't work with a lot of themes.
folder-symbolic are the most widely known icons for directories and folders, various bits of code special-cased directory / folder icons to be so. Three years ago, shared-mime-info was fixed, and since then
g_content_type_get_icon ("inode/directory") returns a
. GThemedIcon inode-directory folder.
Hence, we can now remove the workarounds, and gain the (questionable?) ability of using
inode-directory in those themes that provide it.
