xed (and gedit) fail to display a blinking cursor if a white background is chosen
If a white background (theme - e.g "Kate") is chosen, the white blinking cursor does not show on the white background.
It would be good if the theme provided cursor (color/style) information. Then the theme could be edited and not require source code changes. I fear that is not the case, but am just guessing. I suspect the source code needs to look at the theme color and choose the cursor color (black or white should be enough) based on the theme color (white should work for any color that is NOT white unless someone chooses a very pale yellow background - yuck IMHO!). If more color variation (not just black or white) is desired for the cursor, then it should be part of the theme IMHO.
