Cannot print to IPP printers from the GTK dialog
The cups service has been stopped on this machine and an attempt to print to an ENVY4500 was made using Firefox and Zathura. The printer is named as "print" in the dialog (which isn't very useful) and is shown as "Rejecting Jobs". Even if the job was accepted, the printer could not print it because a PDF would be sent and the printer broadcasts a TXT record which has
- pdl=application/vnd.hp-PCL,image/jpeg,application/PCLm,image/urf
in it. A PDF IPP printer can be set up with ippserver, but it too shows "Rejecting Jobs".
Is it intended that printing can take place on IPP printers in the same way as on a CUPS server?
The OS is Debian unstable and there is a little more detail on the issue at
