GTK File chooser takes 30 seconds to show up when a network drive in /etc/fstab is unreachable
Steps to reproduce
- Add a cifs network drive to /etc/fstab
- Connect to a network from which the network drive is unreachable
- Open a GTK application and trigger and action that requires the file chooser (e.g. GNOME > File > Open ...
Current behavior
The application hangs for 30 seconds before showing the GTK file chooser
Error returned by GIMP:
Error creating proxy: Error calling StartServiceByName for org.gtk.vfs.UDisks2VolumeMonitor: Timeout was reached (g-io-error-quark, 24)
Expected outcome
The file chooser is shown instantly

More information
- Opening the file chooser a second time does not present the bug
- Closing and opening again the application most of the times cause the bug to occur again
- If the network is turned off, the bug seems not to occur
