gtk4 should prefer Wayland text input protocol over ibus-gtk4 immodule
Steps to reproduce
- In Fedora 36 Development (Workstation) run gnome-text-editor and input using ibus input method
- Install ibus-gtk4
- Repeat 1
Current behavior
- Before installing ibus-gtk4 uses Wayland input protocol and candidate list is rendered by gnome-shell and mutter
- ibus now uses ibus-gtk4, which is not good due to known issues with placement of the candidate window: the candidate window is shown in the wrong place at the bottom of the screen (or away from the application).
Expected outcome
gtk4 should always prefer Wayland input over other immodules (at least over ibus-gtk4).
Version information
current Fedora 36 (devel) Workstation gtk4-4.6.0-2.fc36.x86_64 ibus-1.5.25-10.fc36.x86_64
Same is true for Fedora 35
