Keyboard: Set shortcut does not work for key-codes > 247
Trying to assign a shortcut to keys which have a keycode > 247 (maybe > 255 ?) does not work.
For example sudo libinput debug-events
shows the following for Fn + F9 on recent ThinkPad models:
event5 KEYBOARD_KEY +0.000s KEY_NOTIFICATION_CENTER (444) pressed
And wev (https://github.com/jwrdegoede/wev) shows that XKB is properly handling this:
[14: wl_keyboard] key: serial: 7507; time: 3824476; key: 452; state: 1 (pressed)
sym: XF86NotificationCenter (268964284), utf8: ''
Still if I try to bind this key to e.g. "Settings" on the "Launchers" pane of the "Customize Shortcuts" option of the "Keyboard" g-c-c panel it does not work.
In the "Set Shortcut" dialog nothing appears when I press the notification-center button the "erase" and "set" buttons become active, but no description is shown for the just pressed key. And if I then clock "set", the button is described as being bound to "0x10" in the "Launchers" pane and it does not work to start "Settings".
Note I'm still at Fedora 34 / GNOME40 but AFAIK nothing which influences this has changed in GNOME41.
