Stutter when dragging a window previously not focused with animations enabled
Affected version
- Arch Linux
- Gnome Shell 40.0+67+g79acae417
- XOrg and Wayland
Bug summary
Stutter happens while dragging a window if it was not focused before the drag started and animations are enabled.
Steps to reproduce
- Enable Animations in Tweaks (enabled by default)
- Open two or more windows (tested on GTK apps, each window from a different app).
- Focus one of them while being able to see the other one(s).
- Drag from the a title bar of one of the windows not focused (or using Super).
What happened
The first period of time of the dragging, happens with a lot of stutter. This is not present if the animations are disabled.
What did you expect to happen
It should be a smooth dragging of the window, the same one it works when dragging an already focused window.
