Aspect ratio - Sony ARW files

Sony a6500 ARW files, when the camera is set to shoot at 16:9, display the image as 3:2 in the gThumb preview. This results in the long side of the image being squished.

When the shooting aspect ratio is set at 3:2 both images appear almost identical (still a slight difference).

Not sure whether this is a Sony bug/feature (non-standard metadata settings in ARW file) or if this is something that can be addressed at the application level. Aspect ratio looks fine in other apps eg Darktable.

It would make the preview/selection experience much smoother for users of Sony a6500 (and other Alpha cameras?) if gThumb honors the aspect ratio when previewing ARW files.

Please let me know where I can help with any additional info.

Ubuntu 20.10, gThumb 3.8.0
