AxisLine MajorGrid drawn out-of-bounds
Observed behavior: Consider this very simple .gnumeric file: tickmarks.gnumeric
-
Focus on the red lines, i.e. the MajorGrid attached to the top X AxisLine. One of the lines is drawn out-of-bounds, rather obviously so, trampling on the Y tick labels, as shown in this screenshot:
-
What's even weirder is that if you export the chart as a .svg file and open it with inkscape, a great many grid lines are drawn out-of-bounds, not just outside the plotting area but outside the entire graph object area, as shown here:
[Note that exporting as .png does not produce anything outside the graph object area. In other words, symptom 1 applies to .png output but symptom 2 does not.]
Expected and desired behavior:
MajorGrid lines should behave like MajorTicks. That is, if they're not within the bounds of the plotting area, they shouldn't be drawn at all.
Platform: This is observed with the latest version '1.12.48' compiled from freshly-pulled git sources. OTOH it is not a new bug; it is also observed with a years-old version '1.12.38'.
Gnumeric and ssconvert are affected equally.
