## Description
When you drag a bonobo-object (with the four-way arrow cursor) past the
edges of the sheet (i.e. when the cursor moves into the column/row headers
or into the scrollbars) the object jumps a little. This is a trivially
annoying behaviour.
1) new gnumeric
2) insert bonobo-object
3) drag object (with four-way arrows cursor) downwards.
--> depending on where the cursor enters the scrollbar, the object might
jump more or less markedly to the left. similar behaviour exists in all
four directions.
if the object is dragged in the white area beyond the limits of the grid
(i.e. in space extra IV65536) it will immediately jump back onto the grid.
Talk about trivial, who the hell inserts objects out there?
to replicate this
1) new gnumeric
2) make the gnum. window really small
3) click drag in grid out to IV65536
4) expand window
5) insert object in the white area
6) drag it around.
cheers,
adrian

It would be very nice (and spare me a bit of "manual"
labour), if Gnumeric could generate a dataflow diagram
with "boxes" and arrows indicating how data flows
through a spreadsheet.
A few rather specific suggestions for this:
* Use cell names a labels on the boxes.
* Reuse the font and colour settings of the cells in
the "boxes".
* Use different shapes for the "boxes" depending on
which spreadsheet in the workbook the cell is located

## Description
Package: gnumeric
Version: 0.61
Severity: wishlist
As was suggested by Jody Goldberg when I asked about this on
gnumeric-list, , here is the wishlist request for the Excel Tools ->
Options (calculation tab) feature "precision as displayed".
Consider the following spreadsheet cells, formatted as currency:
=0.02*916.67 (displays $18.33)
=0.02*916.67 (displays $18.33)
=0.02*916.67 (displays $18.33)
=sum(above 3 cells) (displays $55.00)
It would be nice if it could be made to display $54.99 (e.g, for
summing tax withholdings). Both Excel and Staroffice have this
feature.
Jody's response was the following:
I never noticed that feature and as such have neither implemented
nor considered implementing it. It is probably fairly simple to do
internally. We would add an post calculation filter to
src/cell.c:cell_eval_content
to perform the necessary rounding.
Two architectural issues stand in the way
1) There is currently no tidy place to stick this flag
2) The format specifications are nicely parameterized internally.
figuring out what the display precision is would require some
work.
Both problems could be worked around with a quick solution.
However, I'd prefer to solve them correctly, which will take more
time. Feel free to file a wishlist level bug and I'll get to it
eventually, however it would not be high on the priority list.
If anyone is interested in working on these problems things will get
done sooner.

Is there a way that we could have a check box in the import dialog to import
spreadsheets read-only? This would allow everything except for saving over the
opened worksheet.
I think this should be relatively easy to do although there might be an issue
if two versions of gnumeric are running at the same time with who has ownership
control of the file.
This is not the same as changing the filesystem flags.
