Password entry issues, partial data result returned.

Submitted by Bryce Nesbitt

Link to original bug (#335296)

Description

Please describe the problem: I ran into the following issues, attempting to read a Postgres or Mysql table through libgda and Gnumeric:

  1. While my database has no password, gnome-database-properties gives "password required (fe_sendauth: no password supplied)" when I attempt to set a empty password.

  2. Once I set a password, the "Tables and Views" shows only Tables, not any of my Views.

  3. I was unable to add a _ character in a data source name

  4. User interface was too microsoft-like

Steps to reproduce:

Actual results:

Expected results:

Does this happen every time?
