autosave setting not remember after closing

Issue with Gnumeric version 1.12.46, Manjaro KDE 20.1. Autosave only works for the current session and the setting is not remembered on closing. This feature worked ok recently on Debian Buster (Gnumeric version not known).

As an aside, I think this feature would be better implemented by writing to a temporary file, rather than overwriting the original.
