GNUmeric Verticallly oriented text does not wrap

I was interested in having GNUmeric as my go to spreadsheet however, when I loaded all my work templates I discovered that there are many cells with vertically orientated text wrapping within their cell. GNUmeric does not do this sadly and the text is overflowing both sides of the cell. I have tried opeing a new sheet in the program and setting up a cell this way, i.e. Vertical orientated text wrapping and it overflows.

I wonder if this is something that can be looked at please? The templates I am using were originally created in both Libre office and Microsoft Excell. This behaviour is not noted in either of these programs.
