Delete key does not work if clicked in the string in a cell

Dear helpful people, When I simply enter text in a cell and then use arrow keys to navigate through string, I can delete characters I need by perssing Delete key without any problems. However, if I place cursor in a certain place in the text I am editing now, Gnumeric does not react to pressing the Delete key. This is not something crucial, as Backspace still works well. However, it would be nice if you fix this. Thanks in advance. Best regards, Igors
