Missing icons for “sludd” (wintry mix/sleet)
Noticed a lack of icons for “sludd” (US: wintry mix, UK sleet) yesterday, it just showed up as a snow-star. The distinction is quite important in costal areas where a mixture of rain and snow is common in the winter time. It might be other icons missing too, I've only noticed this one.
Why this is important
In mountain ranges along the coast of Norway “sludd” in the winter can be lethal, usually by hypothermia because clothes get soaking wet in combination with sudden temperature drops. I have experienced it myself; sludd during the day, and then -27°C in the night. You walk inside a frozen hard shell.
Some years back several Royal Marines died up in the mountain due to sludd. It froze on their tent, and with a lit kerosene burner they got carbon monoxide poisoning, and then they believed they had to cool themselves. (Paradoxical undressing) Laying on top of their sleeping bags they died from hypothermia.
