i18n: named parameters for GNOME and version number
Hi,
I’m currently translating this module and wondering about the strings below:
- https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-tour/-/blob/master/src/widgets/pages/welcome.rs#L161
- https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-tour/-/blob/master/src/widgets/window.rs#L104
let text = gtk::Label::new(Some(&i18n_f(
"Learn about new and essential features in {} {}.",
&[&name, &version],
)));
and
i18n_f(
"That's it! We hope that you enjoy {} {}.",
&[&name, &version],
),
Those are examples but:
- The comment does not appear in the PO file, I’ve checked for
welcome.rs:161
at least. - I’m not a linguist but I may think that, in some languages, the version number may be placed before GNOME. Will it be possible, for translators, to name the parameters?
Thanks
