[Feature Request] Open Links In Container Tabs With Firefox
The Request:
I would love to see the option in gnome-terminal to open container tabs from selected links in the terminal. Since not everyone is a firefox user, this feature could potentially only be exposed to those who have $EDITOR=firefox
or similar.
Background:
Firefox comes with a feature called "container tabs". This feature allows users to maintain separate "profiles" (work/school/personal/finance/social media/etc), where each tab has a selected profile. These profiles maintain separate cookie caches, and other separation/containerization features. This is handy, for example, if a user has personal and work Gmail accounts, and wants to have both open simultaneously without switching between accounts, or doesn't want social media sites tracking their access patterns in other tabs, etc.
If such a feature has interest/acceptance in gnome-terminal, I can contribute to this with testing and/or patches.
